Atkinsons DamAtkinsons Dam is a great place to visit for all types of water activities including fishing, sailing, water skiing or just sitting back and relaxing. There is a day area including barbeques and shelter sheds available and caravan parks including Atkinson Dam Cabin Village & Shoreline Camping close by for longer vists. |

Wivenhoe DamCome and visit Lake Wivenhoe for a wide range of activities. The Lake at over twice the size of Sydney Harbour offers spectacular views.Day areas at Cormorant Bay, Spillway common and Logans Inlet are available for picnics, barbecues, walking or just taking in the sights. Camping is available at Captain Logan Camp and Lumley Hill. Boating with non-powered craft and fishing are popular pastimes here though permits are required. SEQ Water have an information centre near the end of the Dam wall and boating and fishing permits are available here as well as at other Visitor Information Centres in the Region. |

Brisbane RiverThe headwater country in the mountains around Colinton, Harlin, Linville and Moore is the start of the Brisbane River. The river flows down into Wivenhoe Dam and from there to Lowood and Fernvale as it makes its way toward Brisbane.Lowood Bend, Twin Bridges and Savages Crossing are popular areas for swimming, fishing and canoeing with Canoe Clubs holding races from the Spillway Common at Wivenhoe Dam to Twin Bridges, Savages Crossing and beyond. |
